For almost 30 years, the “great little” RCCO racing series has been living electric mobility and promoting innovation. RCCO, maybe the most popular slot car racing series in the world, in combination with a unique networking platform. Interesting people compete in spectacular races and discuss the mobility of the future and CO2 reduction. A topic that the BILSTER BERG has also been dealing with for a long time, with the result that a partnership with the RCCO has been established over the years.

The “great little” racing series was the birthplace of “World eX”, which successfully launched in eSports racing last year. The premiere season reached more than 100 million fans worldwide. Under the hashtag #Racingfortheclimate, the aim is to fight climate change, as the eSports racing series was created for electric prototypes that combine the architecture of the latest electric road vehicles with cutting-edge racing technology.

The little sister of World eX – the electric racing series World eX Bizz – was launched this year. A virtual racing series with the slogan #networkingathighspeed – created for hobby racers who work in motorsport, mobility, technology, climate protection and eSports racing. The BILSTER BERG is a partner in this racing series. The BILSTER BERG is a partner in this racing series. “From the very beginning, the BILSTER BERG has placed a lot of emphasis on environmental protection and sustainability. So a partnership with a virtual racing series that wants to promote electric mobility and environmental protection naturally makes sense. Not only because no traditional motorsport races can take place at the BILSTER BERG, which is a test and presentation track, but also because we want to do even more for environmental protection and sustainability in the future,” explains Hans-Jürgen von Glasenapp, Managing Director of Bilster Berg Drive Resort GmbH. “The series additionally offers us a great networking opportunity to get into conversation with exciting people from various fields.”

The World eX Bizz is held on the virtual race tracks of the world. None of the races are currently taking place at the BILSTER BERG, but that is set to change: “We can imagine integrating our track into rFactor2 in addition to the virtual track in the online game RaceRoom,” says Viola Titze, who is responsible for marketing and communications at the BILSTER BERG. “The demand is great and we would be happy to further expand our partnership with RCCO in this regard.”

In the “great little” RCCO World eX Slotcar racing series, electric concept cars that comply with the eX regulations from eSports racing will also be permitted from 2023. “eX” stands for “Experiemental Electric Prototype”.

And if the term slot car doesn’t ring a bell, these are electrically powered model cars that are used to race on model tracks. A big 24-hour race is planned for the summer at the BILSTER BERG.
