Driving in your dream car around the BILSTER BERG
For car enthusiast Max Eberhardt, tuning meetings, car shows, car races and race tracks are an integral part of his everyday life. Image editing and illustrating vehicles are also among his hobbies. He currently lives in a shared flat with four flatmates in Zwickau, as he has been suffering from the muscular disease “Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy” since birth.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is rare but the most common progressive muscle disease in childhood: it affects almost exclusively boys. It is caused by a genetic defect that leads to increasing muscle weakness, which usually becomes noticeable during the first year of life. DMD is not curable, but its progression can be slowed down if diagnosed early.
“For as long as I can remember, I have had a very strong passion for cars. I have been wheelchair-bound since I was 10 years old, but that doesn’t stop me from living my automotive hobby,” says Max Eberhardt.
Driving a few laps of the BILSTER BERG ─ an experience that became a reality for the local Marienberger. On 13.08.2022, he was invited to experience his automotive hobby on the BILSTER BERG. As a co-driver in the Lamborghini Huracan STO, he drove over the demanding track together with Andreas Reibchen as the driver. His conclusion: “It was a very successful and beautiful experience to feel the feeling of freedom in such an ingenious Lamborghini while accelerating on the BILSTER BERG. I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to Andreas Reibchen and the BILSTER BERG team for making this dream possible.”
